Recovery and Results
Recovery for Vivace® Ultra RF Microneedling is very short, with most patients being able to return to their daily activities within 24 hours. During the first week, you should stay away from direct sunlight, as your skin is very sensitive at this point.
Some results become visible once the side effects fade but are more noticeable within two or three months after the procedure. This is because you need to wait until your body produces new collagen. You may see fewer wrinkles and pigmentation spots on your skin as the damaged cells are replaced by new ones. These results can last for a year or more, with a proper skincare routine.
Although you will see results after one treatment, multiple treatments provide optimal results, we usually start with three, each done 6 weeks apart. The more treatments, the more collagen stimulation, and the better the results.
Microneedling Pen
The microneedling procedure is performed using a microneedling pen, a handheld device that uses multiple needles to prick the top layers of your skin. This will create micro-injuries in your skin, which triggers your body’s healing response. Therefore, collagen production will increase, aiding with skin regeneration, increased cell growth, and even hair growth for the scalp.
We use the microneedling pen for its ability to deeply penetrate your skin while offering precise and sterile action.
Before the microneedling pen is used, our providers will use a topical numbing cream, which can make the procedure more comfortable. Due to the small size of the needles, patients only feel some light pressure, along with the occasional warming sensation due to the RF technology. A sensation of minor prickling may also occur, but it subsides over time.
Depending on the issues multiple treatments are recommended for optimal results.
Exosomes
Exosomes is a serum with stem cells, growth factors, vitamins & vital nutrients for the skin. This serum can be added to either microneedling or Vivace Ultra.
Microneedling with Vivace® ULTRA is further enhanced with the addition of exosomes. Exosomes are derived from stem cells and are responsible for cell-to-cell communication, facilitating the exchange between important proteins and RNA. This can allow your skin to produce more elastin and collagen, offering you a more youthful look compared to regular RF microneedling.
Thanks to the exosomes, the concentration of peptides and growth factors underneath your skin will increase. This can fortify your skin barrier, which is essential in giving you glowing, youthful skin.
PRP
Microneedling with PRP is a treatment that combines microneedling with platelet-rich plasma to speed up collagen production and cell rejuvenation. It is a minimally invasive treatment that harvests your own blood, separates the platelet-rich plasma, and combines it with the microneedling pen or the Vivace Ultra.
In combination with this procedure, your own PRP can be injected into areas of the face to provide a natural filler and collagen production. Referred to as the “vampire facial,” this treatment acts as a tissue stimulator to reduce signs of aging. This is an add-on procedure to either microneedling treatments.
Microneedling with PRP is often the suitable choice for patients who are prone to allergies or are sensitive to synthetic solutions. Since the treatment uses your own blood, the chances of allergies are null. You can use it on different areas like your cheeks or mid-face, neck, hands, or décolletage.
Recovery and Results
Recovery from a microneedling pen is up to several days. You may have some skin sensitivity and redness after the procedure, along with potential swelling. This is a natural reaction to needles poking holes in your skin, triggering your body’s healing response, to allow for collagen induction.
Patients typically see the first results within a few weeks, but they usually reach their peak within six months. You may notice fewer wrinkles and scars, reduced pigmentation spots, and tighter skin. The results can last up to 18 months, after which you should schedule a follow-up treatment.

Microneedling With PRP for Hair Loss
The older you get, the more your scalp becomes unable to produce new hair. Your hair follicles become dormant, leading to bald patches on your scalp where growth factors are no longer sent. Microneedling and PRP alone can efficiently stimulate growth factor release but are even more efficient when used together.
The microneedling part of the treatment stimulates growth factor release in the target areas of your scalp. This will prime the stem cells and platelets to perform much faster, healing your hair follicle. By injecting PRP into your scalp, you create an abundance of these growth factors, revitalizing your hair follicles.
Recovery and Results
Microneedling with PRP is usually well-tolerated by patients, but you may expect a series of side effects as the microneedling punctures heal. Patients may experience some mild redness and tenderness for three to five days after the treatment. Several treatments are required for optimal results. Four treatments, one every 2 weeks is recommended to start with.
Results usually appear within the first few months after the treatment. In the first week, you may notice that your hair is becoming thicker and healthier, with a significant improvement in texture. New hair growths may also be visible in the first few weeks. It may take up to six months for you to enjoy the final result, as the new hairs grow longer.
