TruSculpt® Flex

TruSculpt® Flex

There are times when diet and exercise may not be able to provide you with your desired results, and sometimes, building muscle takes time, especially if it’s a hard-to-work area. Rather than getting down and feeling defeated, it may be time to look into body sculpting. Treatments like truSculpt® flex can help you target those areas, stimulating the muscles into toning and strengthening themselves. At Renaissance MD, we offer truSculpt® flex treatments to anyone who wants to obtain a beautifully sculpted and toned body.

Candidates & Indications

The ideal candidates for truSculpt® flex are women and men who are near their ideal weight but want to tone their bodies, strengthen their muscles, and reduce subcutaneous fat. You may be a good candidate if you check the following points:

  • You want to build, firm, and tone the muscles on your arms, abs, buttocks, and thighs

  • You want to improve your existing muscles

  • You do not want to undergo extensive exercise routines to have a toned body

  • You want a non-invasive treatment to contour your body

  • You cannot exercise or your range of motion is limited

This treatment may not be a good option if you have epilepsy or other medical conditions that can be easily triggered. Similarly, if you have a pacemaker, defibrillator, or other electronic device implantation, truSculpt® flex may interact with your device. To be on the safe side, you should set up a consultation first with Renaissance MD to determine whether the treatment is right for you or not.

How truSculpt® flex Works

truSculpt® flex uses a technology called multi-directional stimulation (MDS) that causes your muscles to contract. The treatment can replicate the results of intensified crunches, squats, and twisting actions, without having to undergo the actual movement. In only 45 minutes, this treatment can replicate the equivalent of 54,000 crunches.

Patients can undergo the treatment in up to eight areas where they believe their muscles may need toning. The initial recommended series is twice weekly for a total of four to six treatments. After the treatment series, some patients may notice an increase of up to 30 percent in muscle mass, making their body appear more toned. The action can also cause a fat-burning effect, sculpting your body in the target areas. Maintenance treatments are recommended once per month. This treatment is a great adjunct to a weight loss program or a body sculpting treatment.

The treatment can be set into three treatment modes, based on your fitness level and goals. Depending on your preferences and our recommendations, you can go through one or more of the modes, customizing your treatment. We typically start with prep mode for two treatments and then move to tone. These are the following:

  • Prep Mode – This creates a twisting motion that can warm your muscles up, stretching them and creating a slow tolerance to the muscle contractions.

Prep Mode

Creates a twisting motion to warm up, stretch the muscles and slowly build a tolerance to muscle contractions.

  • Tone Mode – This mode helps contract your muscles, holding them to the point of exhaustion. After that, it will relax its hold, enhancing your endurance and increasing your strength.

Tone Mode

Contracts the muscles, holds it to the point of exhaustion, and then relaxes it to increase strength and enhance endurance.

  • Sculpt Mode – This mode creates deep, fast, and sequential muscle contractions that help you build more muscle mass. This can increase your basal metabolic rate (BMR).

Sculpt Mode

Fast, deep, sequential contractions of the muscles to build muscle mass and increase basal metabolic rate (BMR).

Each patient may have different fitness needs. This is why you should set up an appointment with us first, to determine your fitness goals. This way, you can create a customizable treatment plan.

Recovery

One of the advantages of truSculpt® flex is that it requires little to no downtime after the treatment. Most patients can return to work right after getting the treatment done.

You may feel a series of side effects, similar to those triggered by a good workout. However, they are not usually as intense and fade within a few  hours after the treatment. These symptoms usually include tingling in the treatment areas, along with soreness and tenderness. Where the applicators had contact, you may also notice some skin redness, although the effect is just temporary.

Some light exercise after the truSculpt® flex treatment can ease the soreness, as it helps circulate the blood and speed up the recovery time. Make sure to eat nutritious food and drink plenty of water, as this also allows your muscles to recover.

Results

To obtain the best results from the truSculpt® flex treatment, you should undergo about four to six treatments, twice weekly. Most patients can see the results within two to three months after their last treatment. That being said, you may notice a change in your body shape within a month after the procedure. Each patient is different, so a personalized consultation with Renaissance MD can determine the number of treatments needed to help reach your goals.

Results can be maintained with a regular exercise routine or monthly flex treatments and a healthy diet.
