Dr. Shazia Hyder, MD
I was born and raised in London, England. I attended medical school in Southampton, England in 1992 and completed a family medicine residency in England before moving to California in 2002. I completed my medical licensing exams and graduated from Internal Medicine Residency in 2009, at our local Loma Linda University Medical Center.
I have been a physician for over 20 years and have completed two residencies. I trained in Medical Aesthetics at the prestigious National Laser Institute in Arizona and alongside Dr. Jaime Schwartz, Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon.
I founded Renaissance M.D. in 2016 to provide excellent medical aesthetic care to all of my patients and clients. We are proud to be one of the few medical spas in the Inland Empire to have a full-time doctor present.
I am board-certified in Internal Medicine and serve the residents of Redlands, California, and nearby communities. My patients have access to high-quality and attentive cosmetic treatments with procedures ranging from state-of-the-art body sculpting, like Coolsculpting, to the latest laser treatments.
I proudly served our nation’s veterans at the Loma Linda Veterans' Affairs Hospital for 6 years as an Internist. I left employment at the VA due to a diagnosis of cancer. I went through extensive medical therapies including chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, and hyperbaric oxygen treatments. I am now in remission. As a cancer survivor, I am particularly sensitive and compassionate to the needs of my patients and clients. I understand the frustration and helplessness of being a patient and therefore I strive to care for you with kindness and empathy.

Elaine Vink, PA-C
Hi there! My name is Elaine Vink and I am a board certified Physician Assistant. I received a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Arizona in 2012. I then went on to complete my Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at Loma Linda University while receiving Deans List recognition throughout my entire enrollment. I started my career as a PA in Spine Surgery in Marina del Rey but I’ve always had my eyes set on becoming an aesthetic PA. I have completed over 30 trainings through Allergan Medical Institute and Galderma Aesthetic Injector Network including cadaver training. I have been trained one-on-one by some of the biggest and most respected names in the industry and I am also Master Injector certified. I specialize in individualized treatment plans to achieve full facial balancing while keeping results very natural. Most of my clients have been through word of mouth and you can expect honesty, excellence, and precision during your appointment with me.
When I am not injecting, I am spending time with my daughter and husband who is also a PA-C. I also have a toy labradoodle who I’ve taught over 12 tricks! I can’t wait to start the journey to help you become a better version of yourself!

Mariah Shea
Hello! My name is Mariah, and I am a licensed esthetician. I earned my license in 2020, but I have been serving clients at this medical spa since 2015. Helping others has always been my passion, so after high school, I pursued a career as a registered nurse. While attending college, I worked as a receptionist at Rosina’s Medical Spa, where a mentor highlighted how estheticians can assist people similarly to RNs, but in a different capacity. This revelation made me aware of the profound impact estheticians can have on enhancing individuals confidence and self-esteem, prompting a shift in my focus. Since obtaining my esthetician license in 2020, I have earned certifications for the Glo2Facial, Diamond Glow, Lash Lifts with Elleebana, and ZO Skin Health. With the knowledge gained from working with experienced estheticians and learning from Dr. Shazia Hyder, I have equipped myself with knowledge in most medical esthetic treatments.
During my free time I love to spend time with my husband, relax by the beach, get adrenaline rushes from
motorized sports and challenge myself with shooting sports.

Laurene Castillo, MA
Laurene is also one of our newest editions to our team and has been with us since the end of 2020. Laurene went to school to become a Medical Assistant and has always had a passion for the medical cosmetic field. She started at Renaissance MD as a receptionist, and built relationships with our clients, and is now our Body Contouring Specialist.
She loves to make her clients feel and look beautiful in their own bodies. Laurene is our specialist in Coolsculpting, Sculpsure, truSculpt flex, and our weight loss program.

Crystal Solano, RN
Crystal attended San Bernardino Valley College where she received associate degree in nursing in 2019. She began her nursing career on a Telemetry unit before transitioning into aesthetics. She has trained exclusively under the very skilled Dr.Hyder and Elaine Vink, PA. She is certified in laser aesthetics and plans to continue her education in the aesthetics field. Crystal enjoys customizing treatment plans to make her patients fell and looks their best. Crystal’s goal is to provide her clients with natural results that enhance their beauty. When Crystal is not in the spa, she enjoys driving down to the beach with her fiancé and walking her dog.

Vanessa Knox, RN
Vanessa received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University San Bernardino in 2011. Her nursing experience comes from Loma Linda University Medical Center, specializing in Neurosurgery Trauma and the Surgical Trauma ICU. Her hospital background also specializes in responding to stroke patients and those receiving continuous dialysis. Vanessa has also completed missionary work through the Global Health Institute where she traveled to Malawi to help train ICU nurses.
Vanessa started her journey at Renaissance MD in September 2018. She’s completed her laser training with Dr. Hyder. Her certification in Botox and dermal fillers are from the National Laser Institute in Arizona. She then completed extensive shadowing along with Dr. Hyder where she continues to build her clientele.
Vanessa loves serving in her community as she currently works at LLUMC in the Trauma ICU, allowing her to keep her clinical and critical thinking skills shape and current. Additionally, she has developed an appreciation for the aesthetic side, allowing her to reach and enhance clients aesthetically in a positive aura.

Alyssa Grisham, RN
Aly earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Loma Linda University in 2021. She began her nursing career in the Surgical Trauma, Transplant, and Neuroscience ICU at Loma Linda University Medical Center, where she developed a strong foundation in caring for critically ill patients.
She later pursued her Nurse Practitioner degree at Loma Linda University and is expected to graduate with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in June 2026.
Following graduation, Aly will continue her career at Loma Linda University Medical Center as a nurse practitioner intensivists specializing in neuromedical critical care. Her experience in trauma and neuroscience has fueled her passion for treating patients with complex neurological injuries in the ICU.
In 2024, Aly began teaching at Loma Linda University and has since discovered a love for education. She is passionate about mentoring and inspiring the next generation of nurses.
Aly initially entered the field of aesthetics through laser hair removal but quickly developed a desire to expand her knowledge. In 2026, she began training with Dr. Hyder and is now certified in both laser hair removal and Botox. She remains committed to continuing her education and advancing her skills in aesthetic medicine.
When Aly isn’t teaching or working at the hospital or med spa, she enjoys traveling and using her skills to serve others. She has participated in over 10 mission trips with Loma Linda University, combining her passion for healthcare with global outreach. In her free time, Aly loves baking and spending quality time with her family.
